Maison Élise Hair Atelier — fictional demonstration
Last updated:
About this page
Maison Élise is a fictional salon concept created by DigiThat to demonstrate website design. It is not operating as a salon through this website. The booking journey is simulated: no real appointment is created, no payment is taken and real booking details are not required.
Information used by this demonstration
The demo uses sample information such as "Demo Guest" and sample appointment times. You do not need an account or your real name, phone, email or payment details. Completing the sample booking does not send a booking request.
Do not enter passwords, card details, medical information, private customer information or other sensitive information into demonstration fields.
Technical information
The web host may process ordinary request information needed to serve pages, maintain security and diagnose faults, such as IP address, browser/device information, requested page, date/time and server/security logs.
Browser preferences
The site includes motion controls and reduced-motion support. If you use the Motion control, this demonstration remembers your on/off choice in your browser's local storage. The preference remains on your device and is not submitted as part of the demonstration booking. If other browser preferences or storage are introduced in future, this policy will be updated to explain what is stored, why it is used and whether any information leaves your device.
Images
People shown in the demonstration are AI-generated and do not depict real clients or stylists.
External services
External websites have their own privacy practices. A production salon may use third parties for booking, payments, email, SMS, maps, analytics, marketing, social media or hosting. Relevant providers and data handling should be identified accurately.
A real salon policy should cover
Where applicable: business identity and privacy contact; information collected and held; collection/storage/security; booking and contact information; payments; genuinely necessary consultation or sensitivity information; photo consent; marketing choices; analytics/cookies/local storage; service providers; purposes of use/disclosure; retention; access/correction; complaints; and likely overseas disclosures.
A real salon should collect only information it actually needs.
Access, correction and complaints
The current demo does not create a Maison Élise customer record from the sample booking. Questions about the demonstration can be directed to DigiThat.
A production version should replace this section with the salon's real access, correction and complaint process.
Australian privacy law
Whether an Australian salon is covered by the Privacy Act 1988 depends on its circumstances. If the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles apply, the production policy must meet those requirements.
Changes
Update this page before any material data-handling change is represented to visitors, and update the "last updated" date.
