Weddings at Wattle & Stone

A garden ceremony under the gum tree, dinner in the stone room, and four suites for the people closest to you. For up to 120 guests.

Clara, estate owner and wedding host, in the garden.

Meet your host

One person looks after you from first visit to last dance

“Tell me how you want your day to feel. I’ll help the practical pieces fall into place.”

Clara, estate owner and wedding host

Clara shows you around, answers the awkward questions about budgets and weather, and is here on the day. We host one wedding at a time, so the estate is yours from ceremony to farewell.

The garden

Your ceremony under the gum tree

Up to 120 seated for your ceremony

The lawn runs from the old gum tree down towards the vines, with the Barossa ranges behind. Chairs face west, so the evening light falls on you rather than in your guests’ eyes.

  • Seats up to 120 on white crossback chairs
  • A 20-metre aisle ending at the timber arbour
  • Signing table, arbour and chairs included
  • The courtyard is always set as your covered plan

The stone room

Dinner and dancing inside the old walls

60–120 for a seated reception

Built from the same stone as the cellar door, with tall windows down the vineyard. Long tables run the length of the room and the fireplace end becomes the dance floor.

  • Seats 60–120 at long tables
  • Dance floor by the fireplace
  • Bar along the back wall
  • Heating and cooling for any season

The courtyard

A covered ceremony that still feels outdoors

Up to 120 seated, fully covered

A glass roof and open sides keep the rain off while letting the evening light through. Two old olive trees and festoon lights do the decorating for you.

  • Seats up to 120 under cover
  • Same aisle and layout as the garden
  • Outdoor heaters for cooler evenings
  • No extra charge for the wet-weather plan

For your day

Questions to bring to your viewing

The garden ceremony on a clear evening. The same ceremony moved to the covered courtyard on a rainy evening. Wet-weather planClear evening

      What if it rains?

Every garden ceremony comes with a covered plan

The courtyard is set as a second ceremony space for every wedding, whatever the forecast. Forty-eight hours out, you and Clara look at the forecast together and choose. If the weather changes on the day, the team can move chairs across in about twenty minutes.

      • Glass roof and open sides, so photos still get the evening light
      • Same seating layout and aisle as the garden
      • No extra charge for the wet-weather set up

      An example day

How a summer wedding usually runs

Your timings are yours to set. This is the rhythm most couples choose in the warmer months.

      1. Getting ready in the suites, with photos in the vines.

      2. Guests arrive. Sparkling and lemonade under the gum tree.

      3. Ceremony in the garden, or the courtyard if you’ve chosen it.

      4. Canapés on the terrace while you take golden-hour photos.

      5. Dinner in the stone room. Speeches by the fireplace.

      6. First dance, cake and dancing.

      7. Farewell along the lit path. Suite guests stay on.
